Did anyone else see the segment on the Today Show last week about "Cocktail Playdates"? If not, click here! or here! to read about it. So what do we think, ladies (and gents for that matter)? Acceptable or not?
(Side note: It's 9 and feels like -5 here. No one call me and tell me it's cold where you are. I've got all you effers beat.)

sounds interesting-I didn't see it. I'll have to research it.
ReplyDeleteI say leave the kid with your husband for the evening and go out for drinks and actually relax with your friends--why bother doing it during a playdate? I don't have a problem with drinking in front of my kids, but wouldn't it be much more fun without the little ones? I'm just not sure what the point is.
ReplyDeletewhat if your husband works nights? what if you don't have a husband, hence no one to watch the kid?
ReplyDeletei understand that it's nice to get away from the kids, but finding a babysitter is sometimes complicated. And a night out with the girls is something different than an impromptu playdate. The point is that someone out there thinks it's wrong to have a casual GLASS of wine while the kids play.
Hey I just left a comment here and it didn't post. Anyway, it was big and long, but overall it said I thought drinking is highly acceptable!!!!! Drink up mommies!
