Happy Leap Year Day. It snowed 3 more inches last night.

I had Book Club on Wednesday night and Justin and Vance dropped me off at the host's house. (It's less than a block away, but it's cold and icy here.) On my walk back home I stopped and realized that the snow on either side of the sidewalk was taller than I was. (It's been awhile since I've taken a walk.) For a second I felt like I was in a cave with no ceiling. I need to take a picture because I don't know if that will ever happen again. If it does, I hope I'm somewhere warm, holding a boat drink in one hand and a Tuesday NY Times Crossword in the other.

  1. What book did you read at book club? I used to be a part of a book club, but stopped meeting the end of December. I need to get it going again. If you read any good books let me know. I would love to see a picture of all the snow. I can hardly imagine it.

yes, i too want to know what book you're reading. it seems that a lot of clubs are reading water for elephants which is strange because i read that on my way over to London the other week and then heard a bunch of women talking about it on the way back. i was very tempted to be the creepy easedropper who totally jumped into their conversation. :) well, i'm back in chicago now and just experienced my first jury duty. well...sort of. i spent 2 days in a court room waiting to be questioned, only to NOT be selected (whew!). i sort of helped that along by stating some pretty strong opinions for one side since i have another business trip on Monday that i can't miss. oops.
hope you have a good weekend and vance starts napping again soon!
