Homemade Oreos

Because cupcakes weren't enough, I also made cookies for Valentine's Day too. Homemade Oreos to be exact. They were a little time consuming, but well worth it. I was happy with how they turned out. Here you go:
Homemade Oreos - Dough
2 Devils Food Cake Mixes
1 1/4 c. Butter
4 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
Mix all 4 ingredients well. Can add a little flour if it's too sticky. Refrigerating before rolling helps too. Roll into cherry sized balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets. 350 degrees 10-11 minutes.
Cream Filling
1 8oz. Package of cream cheese
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 1/2 c. Powdered Sugar
Mix well and spread between cooled cookies. (I had a ton of filling left over. Next attempt, I'll try halving the recipe.)
Enjoy!
We're heading out of town tomorrow, so posts will be light for the next 10 days or so. Try to hold yourselves together.

Those look really good. I am not even going to attempt to make them because then I will eat them all and that is the last thing I need at this point. Enjoy your time, not in the freezing, cold and snowy Wisconsin.
