Weekend Update!

I had a dream last night that Justin had dropped Vaughn off at a random daycare place without my knowledge so that he could go drinking. I woke up so mad at him. Does anyone else do that? Wake up mad at someone for their actions in a dream?

I think I dreamt that because whenever we see a building with a Safe Place sign, we joke that we're going to drop the kids off there for a bit and go have a drink.

This weekend could have benefitted from a few more adult drinks. It was a good weekend, but also a crazy one.

I'm having a hard time believing what happened at the First Baptist Church of Maryville. This is where Vance went to school over in Illinois. Ryan went to school there and Jack still goes there as do many other friends. We've sat in that Sanctuary many times. My heart goes out to the Pastor's family and everyone else involved. I know the news is full of stories like this, but when it's this close to home it's scary. It's different when you have been there and have a mental image of what everything must have looked like. We often take life for granted and this is another reminder.

As long as you don't wake up and call me and blame Justin's drinking on me.

  2. charisa, i've totally done the same thing with Tim! I recently had a dream that I was in labor and Tim was in the hospital "lounge room" drinking beers and playing Wii with all his buddies. After the birth I walked down there (haha) and was like "what the hell!?!?" and his response was " what?? i'm HERE, aren't I??" wow. needless to say when I woke up I was fuming at him and he was so confused. Pretty funny in hindsight.

On a much sadder note - I hadn't heard about the church shooting. I'm so sorry for all those who knew the pastor, and how scary for you guys being that your kids go/went to school there. Just awful. :(
