Mother's Day Gift Basket O' Fun

Mother's Day came and went.

Vance made a beautiful plate for me at school and it was cute to see how proud he was of it.

We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather to celebrate.

Because of that we spent most of the day outdoors.

At the end of the day I realized something.

I wouldn't describe myself as being lucky. Yes, lucky in love, lucky with kids, that sort of thing - but not one of those people with random luck.

At every stop we made that day we were somehow gifted with freebies.

That never happens to us.

Two bagels and a muffin, a free entree card at Chipotle, and a bottle of vodka.

Like a very strange gift basket from the universe.

I could examine everything and dive deeper into the meaning of it all but it's just easier to say:

Life is funny, right?

Hope you all had a great weekend.

  1. Kristin told me to tell you to plant some red flowers. They may help you sell. They did and sold in a week. Hey, it's worth a try, and red flowers are pretty!
Enjoyed seeing all of you over the weekend.

I have to clarify!! I was watching some show that was giving home selling tips. One of the tips was plant red flowers. Not pink or purple. Only red. So I did. Crazy? Yes. But I did it anyway!!! I'm pretty sure it was the price and not the red flowers that sold our house!!! Silly!!!

  3. That's our problem! We have purple and white flowers out front. I'm not liking what we currently have out back in pots, maybe I'll dig them up and do the red out there. Thanks for the tip.

I know it's silly, but that's what we're about. Complete silliness. We're already doing all the other "good luck" things - hopefully they're not acting against each other. I'd dye my hair blue at this point for a sale.

It's just the market and our area. There's tons of inventory and even new construction to compete with. It will happen when it happens.
