Today is Leprechaun Trap Making Day.
(I'm habitually known to label days in this manner. So much so that when Vaughn asks what day it is and I tell her, "Friday", she'll say, "No. What DAY is it?!" I don't know why I do this. Maybe because it makes something small seem like a bigger event.)
So, yes. Today is Leprechaun Trap Making Day.
Vance has been planning for weeks. The drawing below? It's one of 64 pages of his trap ideas.
I have to admit I've been encouraging it. When I was little I was told that moss growing on the trees was put there by leprechauns and was a sign of Spring coming. I've kept this tradition going and have also been growing it.
Morning sunshine that bounces off shiny things and makes rainbows are also known to be signs of leprechauns in this house.
It's all good fun.
Today is also Rainbow Rice Krispie Making Day and since it's supposed to be nice outside, I'm sure it will be Park Day too.
I whipped up a few Lucky marshmallow pops for the kids yesterday, which are pictured up top. Just marshmallows dipped in almond bark then dipped again in green sprinkles.
