Yesterday, at approximately 5:16 pm, I gave in. And dammit, I admit I was a bit more jollier going forward because of it.
The kids and I were on our way to gymnastics. I was scanning through radio stations, briefly pausing on each to hear what was being played. I recognized in two notes what song was playing and quickly turned the station, but it was too late. They heard it too and started yelling to turn back. We listened for the rest of the way and on the way home, except for when Carole King's version of "My Favorite Things" came on. It was definitely not our favorite thing and we turned.

Today is a half-day for my kids and this afternoon we'll be making pretzels. I'll let you know how they turn out.
Tonight is taco night (Ole!) and, again, I can't stop thinking about food because it's 32 degrees outside.
