When you know

You know it's time to go back to school when kids ask to clean bathrooms and then start fighting over which ones they get to clean.

At approximately 6:24 pm last night, this was happening upstairs, while Justin and I finished a celebratory end-of-break bottle of champagne, downstairs. Because we're good parents, we butted in and solved the problem by assigning bathrooms.

We enjoyed celebrating the season with family, friends, and had plenty of downtime at home to just be with each other, but it will be nice to be on a schedule again. It's always a bit sad for the holiday season to come to a close, but knowing we had a great one makes it better. (And clean bathrooms too.)
