What's better than a trip to Disney? A SURPRISE trip to Disney!!
Here's how it went down: Justin already had to be at Disney for a work conference, so that's what started this whole idea for a surprise trip. 6 months of planning and we were still able to keep it a surprise, even with reaching out to teachers to get their homework before leaving. I packed for them and sent Vaughn's clothes with Justin who left a couple days before we did. I picked them up from school early, told them we were going to get flu shots, and then headed to the airport!
They were shocked beyond belief and their reactions were priceless. I love that we were able to do this for them and hope they'll remember it forever!
"What? What? No way!!!"
We stayed at Disney for a few days, then headed to Universal, primarily to see the Harry Potter world.
I packed Vance a Harry Potter robe, just in case he wanted to wear it, but never thought he actually would. I loved that he got into it and had fun with it!
Mid October is way busier than mid September at Disney and we hit Universal over the weekend. It was way more people than I imagined and by noon on Sunday, we were all done with the crowds and the lines. It was an unbelievable trip, but exhausting. We all needed some down time at the pool and it was a great way to end another great family vacation!
