Today is Day One of construction for us. Mr. Fix-It is here and has been working all morning. Today he's working on the electrical. I have been doing my best to keep Vance off the ladders that are sprinkled around the upstairs. We've played all sorts of things imaginable, made a batch of granola bars (if they come out good I'll share the recipe), and have played games on the computer. I'm pretty much out of good ideas and do not know what to do with the kids now. The afternoon is not looking up.

Oh and I got two more sample cans of formula for you. I passed them on to Marth thinking she was seeing you last weekend.

  4. Mr. Fix-It is a man named Tommy. Right now he's putting ceiling lights in 3 of the bedrooms (guess the builder was cutting costs and didn't do so....) Then he's off to the basement to put in 3 new receptacles and wiring the lights to work with one switch down there (no more pull chains!). We also are having work done to all our bathrooms and the backsplash in the kitchen. No more fruit!

Kristin - thanks for the formula! We'll pick it up this weekend!

Doesn't justin know how to put in ceiling fans? I do applaud you though stimulating the economy by hiring Tom the Builder.

  6. justin can hang a ceiling fan, but that wasn't our problem. There was no electric to hook the fans up to. Nothing on the ceiling. Running electric from the attic, cutting holes in ceilings, wiring new switches - hello electrician!

  7. We had to do the same thing in our house before Samuel was born. There were no lights in either of the spare bedrooms. It was annoying. We just had the guy put ceiling fans in the rooms because we didn't want to have to deal with doing it later. Hope all you stuff gets done.
