Trying to change the subject

So, let's see where did I leave off before all the Daisy drama?

Right! Vance is going to a new school. Started last week. He's liking it a lot. He only goes 2 days a week and this school has shorter hours than his last school, but it's such a better program. He's doing so much more throughout the day and has already learned so much. And I don't have to make his lunch anymore! They make lunches on site and his "food report" from each day has been fantastic. He's eating food that he won't eat at home. Score!

This week they're focusing on Italy, so one of the fun things they have planned to do is to play Bocce ball. Sounds like fun.

.....................

We're going to a wedding this weekend and I must go dress shopping today. With Vaughnie in tow, should be interesting. Will have to bring plenty of snacks. She's a horrible shopper. I'm feeling quite fugly these days. Haven't had a haircut or color in such a long time. Have a huge zit on my chin and am quite sure the bags under my eyes are big enough to pack in for our weekend wedding get a way.

charisa, I konw we're trying to change the subject, but i wanted to say i'm so, so sorry to hear about Daisy. She was a wonderful dog and I know how much she loved you guys.

I haven't checked the blog in several days because, believe it or not, I've been in my own total depression/hibernation, unable to function because we had to put down Sodapop very early on Friday morning. We just found out he had cancer a couple weeks ago and although they said we'd have several months with him - he took a turn for the worse out of no where. He had a terrible seizure in the night on Thursday and we ended up going to the emergency room around 4 am. We too left the house with a member of our family in tow and came back with only a collar. It's absolutely heartbreaking and I'm crying all over again as I type this here at work.

Like you, I know we did the right thing but it doesn't ease the pain in any way. He was a part of our family for 13 years and I miss him soooo much. I know you feel the same way about your Daisy...

Although it doesn't ease your suffering, but please know we're thinking of you and praying for you guys. Hopefully Sodapop & Daisy are playing together somewhere happily since they 'earned their wings' on the same day - maybe they were even in the same "doggie heaven orientation group"?! :)

    Hang in there.
    Xoxo
