Owl Shirt

Problem: Vaughn stained this t-shirt after wearing it once.

Solution: Reverse applique, covering the stain and using yet material from another stained shirt, adding some buttons, and felt.

Viola! A new shirt!

This was a quickie and turned out okay. I'll do the next one a bit different and am excited about all the possibilities!

  3. thanks!

they leak out of the top holes when she shakes it, but otherwise we've been lucky. when she chewed holes in the first two, i bought two different types of cups to replace them and they both leaked, so i ended up buying more of these. i hate wasting time trying to decide which sippy cups to buy and finding out that they suck! but it also drives me nuts when they leak! the burdens of a sahm! it never ends!

  10. come on mike. this is silly.

the pink t-shirt had a stain on it (right where you see the owl now).

i cut the unstained part of another shirt (the green and white fabric) to use for the owl.

i sewed the owl OVER the stain on the pink shirt, thus hiding the fact that it was ever stained.

the goal of most moms out there is to send our kids into the world stain-free. instead of throwing both shirts into the trash, i was able to HIDE the STAIN on the pink shirt with the OWL shape.

    done.
