I went to sleep last night feeling okay with this whole kindergarten thing.

Then I woke up at 3:00 AM thinking about Vance riding the bus and about his motion sickness. "Why have I not thought about this before?" "What happens if he gets sick?"

And it was all downhill from there.

I've been up since then, watched Norm Abram make a side table, a few info commercials, a recorded Real Housewives of New Jersey, The 3 Stooges, and Saved by The Bell.

It's going to be a long day.

so what conclusion did you come up with? what if he gets sick? the mayor

  2. No real conclusion. It's one of those things that I can't control. I can put a plastic bag in his backpack for just in case, but that's about it. If it does happens then I'll just drive him to school and that will be fine.

I'm worried more about him being in a situation and not knowing what to do, being embarrassed, or being made fun of by others.

It's scary sending them off alone to a place that you don't know a lot about. There's a lot of differences between the school he was at and the school he'll be going to. I know these feelings are totally normal and that within a couple of weeks we'll know all the ins and outs about this new school, but right now everything is overwhelmingly scary.

I'm sure he'll be fine and we'll be fine also.
