Survivor: Why on Wednesdays?

QOTD: Question of the day

If a new carton of milk is left out on the counter for a few hours is it bad? What's the rule here?
...............

Aren't you happy that TV shows are coming back on? Our DVR was worked overtime last night and we couldn't even record everything that we wanted. This brings me to what I really want to talk about: Survivor.

Survivor airing on Wednesdays is throwing our week off.

Background Info: Years ago, even before Vance was born, my family would get together to watch Survivor and eat pizza on Thursday nights. It was a nice way to get ready for the weekend and catch up with everyone, even though the background noise from that many people warranted that no one could even hear the show.

It really wasn't about the show, if you know what I mean.

We moved away and still kept the Survivor Night tradition and still do. It's something simple that we all look forward to.

Why is it on Wednesdays? Will it ever go back to Thursdays? It seems unnatural to call Wednesday Survivor Night.

Sad, but eating pizza on a Wednesday throws the rest of the week off.

Let's start a petition. Bring Survivor Back to Thursdays.

Off to do some Momming. Have a great day!

  1. I've forgot the milk on the counter before and took my chances and it was fine. I would be cautious if it was out for more than 2 hours though!
I don't watch survivor, but I remember when they switched what night Lost came on and it totally frustrated me, we had our weekly "lost night" with friends and my friend Sarah had to actually change her work schedule all for the show! So frustrating and I don't know why they do that!

  2. Thanks for the comment Jenny! It's always nice to know that someone is really out there reading this stuff!

I tossed the milk. In fact we just got back from the store....to buy more milk. And didn't forget to put it away this time.

  5. i took a food safety class through the health dept (long story as to why) and it can stay out up to 4 hours. scary, but true. 2 hours is the mark in which bacterial will start to develop (at an unsafe level) if it in the "danger zone" of over 40 degrees and under 135 degrees. It starts to grow with in 15 minutes if the conditions are right. When in doubt just toss it. It isnt worth getting sick over. on a side note - that class was insanely fascinating.

at the time i was so pissed that i had to take the class and now i love that i did. lol

the stats that the lady told us about food poisoning and restaurants is terrifying. needless to say i didnt eat out for months. oh and the grossest place in a gas station or restaurant - the fountain soda machine. yep - that black stuff is mold.
