Health Hacks

Working from home means your home is your office and therefore, you are always at work. There's always something that needs to be done and, because it's staring at you in the face, there's no forgetting about it over the weekend. It's easy to fill our days with errands, chores, and doing everything for our families without leaving any time for ourselves, and that's unhealthy. For all parties involved. So, today, I'm here to share some of my favorite ways to keep healthy whether you work at home or in an office. 

Take care of yourself! 
1. Get enough sleep: You'll benefit from those extra Z's in every way possible. 
2. Take brain breaks throughout the day: You're not a machine! Give your noodle a break by doing something enjoyable, even just for 5 minutes. 
3. Practice self-love: Be good to yourself! Get in the practice of telling yourself positive messages, take time out for yourself to exercise, eat healthy foods, be accepting of who you are, and learn how to say "no" when asked to do something you really don't want to do. This list could go on and on!   
4. Eat healthy snacks: This is a big one for me. I'm home all day, which means it's easy to snack freely without the kids around, so I really need to have some self-control. I tend to eat an early lunch and am always needing a snack around 3:00 that will get me through until dinner. Nuts are my go-to. Cashews, pistachios, almonds, whatever I have on hand. If I'm craving something sweet, I'll mix in dried berries. Your body will thank you for this mid-day energy boost!
